Australia is advancing on the path to eliminate fossil fuels for electricity generation and replace it with renewables by 2035. This is commendable but appearing increasingly unachievable, as reliable, cost-effective base load power is lost to the variability and uncertainty of supply as well as the increased costs of electricity.

The Directors of PLH energy believe that there should be well managed transition away from coal to clean, green energy, and this can be achieved by utilising the unique technology employed by PLH energy i.e. C2H2 for clean hydrogen production and the unique Cseq technology and process for sequestration of CO2 emissions. Both these technologies can be delivered by stand-alone process plants that can be simply "bolted on" to industrial plants or power stations in modular units.

The coal industry is one of Australia's major employers and our economic powerhouse, so it stands to reason that if we shut down coal completely, we destroy our economy and the main source of income for hundreds of thousands of families and the communities in which they live. That's why PLH energy is committed to providing a clean, reliable and cheaper source of green energy by utilising the captured CO2 emissions to produce clean hydrogen, and decarbonising energy production processes, thereby keeping the communities alive as well as emissions free.
Giving back to the community
The owners and Directors of PLH energy are driven by vision, not profit. Of course the company needs to be profitable to be sustainable, but we place equal focus and priority on each of People, Planet and Profit. As a pioneering proponent of the economic method that promotes a culture of “caring and sharing”, PLH energy is committed to utilising its corporate profits for the benefit of all stakeholders as well as the natural environment.

For example PLH energy mandates to use C2H2 to enable the reduction of the price of clean hydrogen for developing nations by reducing its profits. This enables developing nations a greater likelihood of achieving Climate Change targets which in turn allows these countries to attract other investment because of their newfound climate credentials.

The technology and processes owned and developed by PLH energy and Cseq Global have enormous potential to save tens of thousands of existing jobs in coal-producing countries by eliminating the need to completely shut down the coal industry. By reducing the emissions from coal mining, repurposing captured CO2 from coal power stations and industrial sites, and by implementing decarbonisation and clean hydrogen production, PLH energy enables the coal industry to transition whilst cleaning it up at the same time. Thousands of Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can continue to operate and thrive, delivering ongoing economic stimulation of regional towns that would otherwise be at risk, and rescuing thousands of critical jobs.
The social and economic impacts of preserving major marketplace sectors are particularly crucial in developing nations. If the coal industry collapses, unemployment rises sharply. The corresponding social distress such as financial hardship, poverty, domestic violence, substance abuse, suicide, family breakdown, homelessness and rampant crime are difficult to quantify.
PLH energy is committed to decarbonising the use of fossil fuels, by using new technologies and processes, and thereby advancing energy transition without harming the economy and associated social fabric.
